IAP 113115181A Engine Oil Strainer Cover for Air-Cooled VW

The IAP 113115181A Engine Oil Strainer Cover — also known as an oil sump plate or oil drain plate — is a direct-replacement cover designed for classic Volkswagen air-cooled engines. This stamped-metal cover mounts to the bottom of the engine sump, sealing and protecting the oil strainer from road debris and damage.

The oil strainer cover is a critical engine component on air-cooled VW motors. It secures the oil strainer in place within the sump and provides the primary access point for oil changes and strainer service. These covers are frequently bent or damaged from road contact or improper jack placement, making a quality replacement essential for maintaining a properly sealed lubrication system.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM-style replacement for vintage Volkswagen air-cooled engines
• Features a drain hole for convenient oil changes without full sump removal
• Compatible with 1200cc, 1300cc, 1500cc, and 1600cc air-cooled VW engines
