Trane VAL21184 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) for 6-8 Ton Systems

The Trane VAL21184 is a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) designed for commercial HVAC split systems with 6-8 ton capacity. This precision-engineered valve regulates the flow of R-454B refrigerant into the evaporator coil, optimizing cooling efficiency and system performance.

Key Features:

• Designed for 6-8 ton commercial HVAC systems
• Compatible with R-454B refrigerant (next-generation low-GWP refrigerant)
• Equivalent to Sporlan model ERYE-8.5-CP
• Maintains optimal superheat levels for efficient heat transfer
• Precision metering of refrigerant flow based on temperature and pressure
• Protects compressor by preventing liquid refrigerant from entering
• Durable construction for reliable long-term operation

Thermostatic expansion valves are critical components in HVAC systems, automatically adjusting refrigerant flow to match varying load conditions. This ensures maximum efficiency while protecting the compressor from damage. Professional installation by a qualified HVAC technician is required.
