GPD 1815047 Knock Sensor

The GPD 1815047 Knock Sensor is a direct-fit OEM-replacement knock sensor designed to restore proper engine knock detection and protect your engine from damaging detonation. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) manufactures this sensor to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, ensuring reliable performance and a straightforward installation.

A knock sensor monitors engine vibrations and detects abnormal combustion events — commonly known as engine knock or ping — and sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM). The ECM uses this data to adjust ignition timing in real time, preventing pre-ignition that can cause serious internal engine damage over time. A faulty knock sensor often triggers a Check Engine Light and can result in reduced power, poor fuel economy, and long-term engine wear.
