GPD 1815891 Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor

The GPD 1815891 is a direct-fit disc brake pad wear sensor designed to monitor brake pad thickness and alert the driver when pads have worn to the replacement threshold. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) brake wear sensors are engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, providing a reliable, plug-and-play replacement for the factory sensor.

How It Works:

The brake pad wear sensor is mounted to the brake pad assembly and maintains contact with the brake rotor surface as the pad wears down. When the pad reaches a critically low thickness, the sensor triggers a warning indicator on the vehicle's dashboard, prompting the driver to inspect and replace the brake pads before rotor damage or brake failure can occur.

Key Features:

• Direct-Fit Design — engineered for a precise OE-style installation with no modification required
• Dashboard Warning Activation — signals the brake pad wear warning light when pads reach minimum safe thickness
• OE-Level Quality — manufactured to original equipment specifications for fit, form, and function
• Durable Construction — built to withstand the heat and vibration of normal brake system operation
• Replaces Factory Sensor — intended to be replaced at the same interval as the brake pads themselves

The GPD 1815891 brake pad wear sensor is a straightforward, cost-effective solution for restoring proper brake monitoring function. Always replace the wear sensor when installing new brake pads to ensure accurate wear detection going forward.
