Nissens 961242 Charge Air Intercooler

The Nissens 961242 is a direct-fit charge air intercooler (CAC) engineered to OEM specifications for precise fitment and reliable performance. Nissens is a globally recognized manufacturer of thermal management components, and this intercooler reflects their commitment to quality construction and consistent heat exchange efficiency.

The intercooler's role is to cool compressed air from the turbocharger before it enters the engine's intake manifold. By lowering the charge air temperature, it increases air density, which improves combustion efficiency, reduces the risk of detonation, and helps restore power and fuel economy that can be lost to heat soak.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM replacement — no modifications required for installation
• Engineered to match original equipment dimensions and port locations
• Constructed with high-quality aluminum core and tanks for efficient thermal transfer
• Pressure-tested for leak-free performance straight out of the box
• Meets or exceeds original equipment cooling efficiency standards
• Designed for long-term durability under sustained boost pressure and temperature cycles

The Nissens 961242 intercooler is an ideal solution for restoring factory-level performance in turbocharged or supercharged applications where the original unit has failed, corroded, or developed leaks.
