Nissens 96547 Charge Air Intercooler

The Nissens 96547 is a high-performance charge air intercooler designed to reduce the temperature of compressed air from the turbocharger before it enters the engine's combustion chamber. This cooling process increases engine power output, improves fuel efficiency, and helps prevent damage to the turbocharger and exhaust filters.

Key Features:

• Brazed aluminum cooling fins for optimal heat dissipation
• Air-cooled design with optimized core dimensions: 665mm length x 280mm width x 30mm depth
• Left angled connection with quick couplings included
• FIRST FIT design includes necessary gaskets and seals for installation
• Manufactured to OE specifications for proper fit and performance
• Tubes equipped with turbulators for enhanced airflow and cooling efficiency
• Reinforced plastic tanks with inner cross-bars for mechanical stress resistance

Nissens intercoolers undergo rigorous testing including corrosion, vibration, pressure impulse, and thermal performance evaluations to ensure reliable operation. This intercooler replaces OEM part numbers 1302216 and 13330387, and cross-references to aftermarket numbers including NRF 30318, among others.

Important Note: Intercoolers should always be replaced when installing a new turbocharger, as carbonized oil and metal debris from a failed turbo can clog intercooler passages and cause premature failure of the replacement turbocharger.
