The blower motor resistor regulates electrical current to control fan speed in your vehicle's heating and air conditioning system. When you adjust the fan control on your dashboard, the resistor modulates power to the blower motor, allowing you to increase or decrease airflow. Signs of a failing resistor include weak or erratic airflow from vents, the fan only working at certain speeds or highest setting only, or complete loss of airflow. Including the wiring harness in this kit ensures a complete repair, as overheated or corroded connectors are often damaged alongside the resistor itself.
