Pioneer Automotive CA-2044 Automatic Transmission Detent Cable

The Pioneer Automotive CA-2044 is a direct-fit replacement automatic transmission detent cable, also commonly referred to as a kickdown cable. The detent cable links the throttle mechanism to the automatic transmission, signaling the transmission to downshift at wide-open throttle for proper passing power and performance.

Over time, detent cables can bind, fray, or become sluggish, resulting in delayed or missed downshifts. Replacing a worn cable with the Pioneer CA-2044 restores proper transmission response and helps prevent long-term drivetrain wear.
