Holley EFI Fuel Injection Pressure Sensors: Precision Data for Every Build
When it comes to building a reliable and tunable electronic fuel injection system, sensor accuracy is everything. Holley EFI has long been the benchmark brand for aftermarket EFI hardware, and their lineup of fuel injection pressure sensors — more precisely known as pressure transducers — reflects that same commitment to engineered precision. Whether you're running a naturally aspirated street build or a turbocharged race engine pushing serious boost, having the right pressure sensor feeding clean data to your ECU is what separates a finely tuned machine from one that's constantly chasing gremlins.
What Holley EFI Pressure Sensors Actually Do
Pressure transducers are the eyes of your EFI system. Pressure sensors, technically called pressure transducers, convert the pressure acting upon them into a measurable electrical signal the ECU can read — and they don't discriminate: the same transducer has no concept of whether it's measuring fuel pressure, oil pressure, or any other fluid pressure. This versatility is exactly why Holley EFI designs their sensors to serve multiple inputs within a single system.
Holley EFI requires several pressure inputs in order to run an engine. The most critical is the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, which in a speed-density fuel injection system helps the ECU determine how much fuel to inject by measuring vacuum or boost in the intake manifold — a measurement then combined with air temperature, RPM, and other variables to calculate fueling.
Plug-and-Play Integration with Holley EFI Systems
One of the strongest advantages of choosing Holley EFI pressure sensors is seamless system integration. A fuel pressure input is a standard feature on Holley EFI systems, with a connector pre-installed that is plug-and-play with the Holley 100 PSI pressure transducer (PN 554-102). These sensors are plug and play for both fuel and oil pressure inputs across Holley EFI systems, though Terminator systems monitor fuel pressure only.
Holley EFI offers five pressure sensor/transducer products in their lineup, spanning a range of pressure ratings including 0–100 PSI and 0–200 PSI options. A 3000 PSI pressure transducer with a 1/8-27 NPT fitting is also available , making this sensor family useful far beyond standard fuel rail monitoring — think nitrous systems, power steering, and data-acquisition racing applications.
These replacement pressure transducers include a wiring pigtail and are available for all Holley EFI fuel injection systems, coming in different pressure ranges to suit a variety of applications.
Key Installation Considerations
Getting the most out of a Holley EFI pressure sensor means installing it correctly. It is not recommended to mount the transducer directly into the engine — remote mounting is preferred, as extreme vibration can result in premature failure. A different 0–5V transducer can be used in place of the factory Holley unit, but the calibration must then be set up as a custom sensor in the EFI software. This flexibility makes the Holley ecosystem approachable for both first-time EFI builders and seasoned tuners looking to customize their sensor inputs.
Built for Holley's Full EFI Ecosystem
The 200 PSI oil pressure sensor (PN 554-103), for example, fits GM LT Gen-V engines (2014 and up) and is designed for use with Holley EFI systems including the Avenger, Terminator X, HP, and Dominator. Higher-range MAP sensors in the lineup are preconfigured for Holley HP and Dominator systems, specifically for forced induction applications where a 2 or 3 bar sensor is not sufficient. This tight integration means less guesswork during setup and more confidence in your data.
