Bosch 928-612-313-05 Brake Pad Wear Sensor

The Bosch 928-612-313-05 is a precision-engineered brake pad wear sensor designed to monitor brake pad condition and alert drivers when replacement is needed. This electronic sensor functions as a resistor that connects to the vehicle's computer module, providing accurate real-time feedback on brake pad wear.

How It Works:

The sensor mounts directly to the brake pad and maintains frictional contact with the brake rotor surface. As the brake pad wears down to its service limit, the sensor wire makes contact with the rotor and eventually breaks, interrupting the electrical circuit. This triggers a warning light on the dashboard, alerting the driver that brake pad replacement is necessary. The sensor is designed to wear out at the same rate as the brake pad, ensuring consistent and reliable wear monitoring throughout the pad's service life.

Key Features:

• OEM-quality construction meeting Bosch engineering standards
• Electronic resistor design for precise wear detection
• Integrates with vehicle computer system for dashboard warning alerts
• Eliminates the need for visual brake pad inspections
• Fail-protected with extra strong cables to resist brake system heat
• Modeled on original equipment design for proper fit and functionality

This wear sensor must be replaced whenever brake pads are changed to ensure continued accurate wear indication. Proper installation is essential—cables must be routed correctly to prevent rubbing or damage over time.
