World Products 830875 Merlin IV Big Block Chevy Cast Iron Engine Block

The World Products 830875 Merlin IV is a high-performance cast iron engine block engineered for Big Block Chevrolet applications. Designed as a direct replacement and performance upgrade over the original GM casting, the Merlin IV delivers exceptional strength and durability for street, strip, and racing builds alike.

World Products engineered the Merlin IV block with thicker water jacket walls, improved material composition, and tighter casting tolerances compared to stock GM blocks. These refinements result in superior rigidity and resistance to the high cylinder pressures generated in performance and forced-induction applications.

Key Features:

• Cast iron construction for proven strength and durability
• Big Block Chevrolet (BBC) architecture — compatible with standard BBC components
• Improved water jacket thickness over OEM for enhanced cooling capacity
• Four-bolt main bearing caps for increased bottom-end strength
• Designed to accept standard BBC heads, rotating assemblies, and external components
• Precision-machined lifter bores and main tunnels for accurate component alignment
• Reinforced bulkheads for high-horsepower and forced-induction builds
• Compatible with standard BBC oiling systems

Whether you are building a high-output naturally aspirated engine or a boosted powerplant, the World Products Merlin IV 830875 block provides the solid foundation needed for a reliable, long-lasting performance build.
