Trane VAL19943 Thermostatic Expansion Valve 2 Ton R410A 3/8" x 1/2" ODF

The Trane VAL19943 is a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) designed specifically for 2-ton residential and light commercial HVAC systems using R410A refrigerant. This precision-engineered valve regulates the flow of liquid refrigerant entering the evaporator coil to maintain optimal superheat levels and maximize system cooling efficiency.

Key Features:

• 2-ton cooling capacity rating for proper system sizing
• R410A refrigerant compatibility for modern HVAC systems
• 3/8" ODF inlet x 1/2" ODF outlet connections for standard line sizing
• Sensing bulb with capillary tube creates feedback loop to adjust refrigerant flow
• Prevents compressor flooding and overheating by regulating superheat
• Can be mounted in any position on evaporator coil inlet
• OEM Trane quality and reliability

The TXV works by monitoring temperature and pressure in the refrigeration system, allowing only the precise amount of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator to ensure complete evaporation. This prevents inefficient operation from too little refrigerant flow and protects against excess liquid entering the suction line. Professional installation by a qualified HVAC technician is required for proper sensing bulb placement and system performance.
