Trane VAL8716 TXV Thermostatic Expansion Valve 3-Ton 3/8" x 1/2" R-410A

The Trane VAL8716 is a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) designed for use in residential and light commercial HVAC systems operating on R-410A refrigerant. Rated for 3-ton capacity, this valve precisely meters refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil to optimize system efficiency and maintain proper superheat under varying load conditions.

The VAL8716 features 3/8" liquid line and 1/2" suction line connections, making it a direct-fit replacement for compatible Trane and American Standard air conditioning and heat pump systems. As an OEM-grade component, it is engineered to meet the same performance standards as the original factory-installed valve.

Key Features:

• Thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) for precise refrigerant metering
• Rated for 3-ton system capacity
• Compatible with R-410A refrigerant
• 3/8" liquid line and 1/2" suction line connections
• OEM Trane replacement part — ensures proper fit and performance
• Regulates superheat to protect the compressor and maximize efficiency
