Product Details

The Dorman 600-490 4WD Actuator is a direct replacement transfer case shift actuator designed for select Chevrolet and GMC truck models. This electric actuator controls the engagement and disengagement of the four-wheel drive system, allowing drivers to switch between 2WD and 4WD modes.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for failed or malfunctioning OEM 4WD actuators
  • Electric motor-driven design for reliable transfer case shifting
  • Engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
  • Restores proper four-wheel drive engagement and operation
  • Rigorous quality testing ensures dependable performance

Common symptoms of a failing 4WD actuator include the service 4WD light illuminating on the dashboard, inability to engage or disengage four-wheel drive, grinding noises during shifting, or the transfer case becoming stuck in one mode. The Dorman 600-490 provides a cost-effective solution to restore full functionality to your vehicle's four-wheel drive system.

Dorman is a trusted name in automotive replacement parts, offering quality-engineered components backed by extensive testing and engineering expertise.

THMotorsports had the part I needed in stock, unlike other suppliers. The price was good and it shipped quickly. I will shop here again.

Haven't ordered from here since 2010. Only 2 orders overall and it was actually pretty great thank you. Though I will say, the item selection has gone way down but I still was very satisfied. Thanks again.
