Gates 51796 Premium Molded Coolant Radiator Hose

The Gates 51796 is a premium molded coolant hose engineered to deliver OEM-quality performance for radiator applications. This lower radiator hose features a pre-shaped design that ensures a precise fit and perfectly sealed connections, eliminating installation guesswork and reducing the risk of leaks.

Advanced EPDM Construction:

• EPDM tube and cover construction resists heat, ozone, and chemical coolants
• Synthetic fiber knit reinforcement (aramid or rayon) provides superior burst strength
• Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
• Meets SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 specifications

Premium Design Features:

• Pre-shaped molded design ensures factory-fit accuracy
• Vacuum collapse resistance engineered into materials eliminates the need for internal springs in most applications
• Approved for marine applications
• OEM replacement quality at aftermarket value

Gates coolant hoses are manufactured with proprietary compound formulations that combat the electrochemical degradation that causes micro-cracks in standard hoses. This advanced engineering extends service life and helps prevent unexpected roadside breakdowns. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal sealing performance.
