Airtex 4B1652 Fuel Vapor Storage Canister EVAP Charcoal Canister

The Airtex 4B1652 is a direct-fit fuel vapor storage canister (also commonly referred to as an EVAP canister or charcoal canister) designed to restore proper operation of your vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system. This replacement canister meets or exceeds OEM specifications for a precise, hassle-free installation.

The EVAP system prevents harmful fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. The vapor canister contains activated charcoal that captures and stores fuel vapors from the gas tank when the engine is off. When the engine runs under the correct conditions, those stored vapors are purged into the intake and burned as part of normal combustion, reducing harmful emissions.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM replacement — engineered to match original equipment fit and function
• Activated charcoal construction for effective fuel vapor absorption and storage
• Restores proper EVAP system operation and helps clear related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
• Helps eliminate fuel odors caused by a damaged or saturated canister
• Supports passing emissions inspections by maintaining a fully functional EVAP system
• Manufactured by Airtex Automotive Division, a trusted supplier of fuel system and emissions components

A failed vapor canister can trigger check engine lights, cause EVAP-related fault codes, produce a noticeable fuel smell, and lead to difficulty refueling. Replacing a worn or saturated canister with the Airtex 4B1652 restores system integrity and keeps your vehicle compliant with emissions standards.
