Pioneer Automotive CA-1962 Automatic Transmission Detent Cable

The Pioneer Automotive CA-1962 is a direct-replacement automatic transmission detent cable engineered to restore proper throttle-to-transmission communication. The detent cable connects the throttle mechanism to the automatic transmission, signaling the transmission to downshift when the accelerator is fully depressed — a function critical for passing power and responsive performance.

Key Features:

• OE-matched fitment — manufactured to original equipment specifications for a hassle-free, drop-in replacement
• High tensile strength steel inner cable — provides durability and reliable operation under demanding throttle conditions
• Protective polymer outer housing — shields the inner cable from corrosion, debris, and abrasion for extended service life
• Includes hardware where applicable — may include brackets, grommets, and end fittings needed for installation
• Restores smooth transmission operation — eliminates binding, sluggishness, or failure associated with worn or broken cables

Pioneer Automotive Industries is a trusted manufacturer of drivetrain components, and their detent cable line is built to the same dimensional and performance standards as the original factory part. The CA-1962 is the correct solution when the existing cable has become stretched, frayed, or unresponsive.
