Airtex 4B1287 Fuel Vapor Storage Canister EVAP Charcoal Canister

The Airtex 4B1287 is a direct-fit fuel vapor storage canister (also known as an EVAP canister or charcoal canister) designed to replace a failed or degraded original equipment unit. As a core component of the vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system, this canister captures and stores fuel vapors from the fuel tank, preventing them from being released into the atmosphere. Stored vapors are then purged into the engine intake and burned during normal engine operation.

Key Features:

• Direct OE replacement — engineered to match original equipment fit, form, and function
• Constructed with activated charcoal/carbon media to effectively adsorb fuel vapors
• Precision-molded housing for a leak-free, secure seal
• Designed to restore proper EVAP system operation and resolve related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) such as P0440, P0441, P0442, and P0446
• Meets or exceeds OEM specifications
• Manufactured by Airtex Automotive Division, a trusted name in fuel system components

A failing vapor canister can trigger the check engine light, cause fuel odors near the vehicle, or result in failed emissions inspections. The Airtex 4B1287 is a reliable, cost-effective solution for restoring full EVAP system integrity.
