Pioneer Automotive CA-1940 Automatic Transmission Detent Cable

The Pioneer Automotive CA-1940 is a high-quality automatic transmission detent cable, also known as a kickdown cable or passing gear cable. This critical transmission component connects the throttle linkage to the automatic transmission, controlling shift points and ensuring proper transmission performance during acceleration.

Key Features:

• Manufactured to OE specifications for precise fit and function
• Durable steel inner cable for strength and reliability
• Polymer outer housing protects against corrosion and abrasion
• Direct replacement for worn or damaged factory cables
• Ensures proper automatic transmission shifting and performance

Pioneer detent cables are designed to restore proper transmission operation by replacing worn or damaged original cables. The detent cable plays a crucial role in automatic transmission function, signaling the transmission when to downshift for passing power and controlling shift timing based on throttle position. When this cable fails or becomes stretched, it can result in delayed shifts, harsh shifting, or incorrect gear selection.

Pioneer Automotive has been a trusted supplier of automotive replacement parts since 1946, known as the source for hard-to-find transmission and drivetrain components. Each cable is engineered to match OE specifications for reliable, long-lasting performance.
