Pioneer Automotive CA-2051 Automatic Transmission Detent Cable

The Pioneer Automotive CA-2051 is a direct-fit replacement automatic transmission detent cable, also commonly referred to as a kickdown cable or TV (throttle valve) cable. This cable links the throttle mechanism to the automatic transmission, signaling the transmission to downshift when the throttle is pressed, ensuring proper shift timing and responsive acceleration.

Pioneer manufactures this cable to OE specifications, restoring the correct transmission operation that a worn, binding, or broken original cable can no longer provide. A faulty detent cable can cause harsh shifts, failure to downshift, or transmission damage over time — making timely replacement essential.

Key Features:

• Manufactured to OE specifications for a direct-fit, like-original replacement
• High tensile strength steel inner cable for long-lasting durability
• Protective polymer outer housing shields against corrosion, debris, and abrasion
• Smooth cable operation for consistent, reliable throttle-to-transmission communication
• May include cable ends, brackets, and grommets where applicable for a complete repair

Pioneer Automotive Industries has been a trusted name in the automotive aftermarket for over 50 years, supplying quality control cables, engine parts, transmission components, and mounts to the repair and remanufacturing industries. The CA-2051 detent cable is built to restore proper automatic transmission function and deliver dependable, long-term performance.
