Product Details

The Pioneer Automotive CA-1953 is a direct replacement automatic transmission detent cable (also known as a kickdown cable) designed to restore precise downshift control and throttle response in automatic transmissions. When detent cables become worn, they can bind, break, or become sluggish, leading to delayed shifting, poor kickdown performance, or inconsistent acceleration.

Key Features:

  • Manufactured to OE specifications for proper fit and function
  • Durable steel inner cable core for long-lasting strength
  • Protective polymer outer housing resists corrosion and abrasion
  • Provides accurate, responsive connection between throttle linkage and transmission
  • Direct replacement for worn or damaged original cables
  • Includes common brackets, grommets, and cable ends where applicable

Pioneer detent cables are engineered to deliver the same durability and reliability as the original equipment, ensuring smooth transmission operation and proper automatic downshifts for years to come.

Great prices and fast shipping. What more are you looking for?

This was my first purchase from Autoplicity, and it was an excellent experience. They had the Motive brake bleeder adapter I needed at the best price I could find on the web. Shipping was prompt and the transaction was super smooth. Thanks!

Shipped out fast. Prices are very competitive. Couldn't ask for more.
