Pioneer Automotive CA-2039 Automatic Transmission Detent Cable

The Pioneer Automotive CA-2039 is a direct-fit replacement automatic transmission detent cable, also commonly referred to as a kickdown cable or throttle valve (TV) cable. This cable links the throttle mechanism to the automatic transmission, signaling the transmission to downshift when the accelerator is fully depressed — a critical function for responsive acceleration and proper shift timing.

Over time, detent cables can become frayed, stretched, corroded, or simply sluggish, leading to delayed or improper downshifts. The CA-2039 restores factory shift performance with an OE-spec replacement built to Pioneer's long-standing quality standards.

Key Features:

• OE-matched design — engineered to match original equipment specifications for proper fit and function
• High-tensile steel inner cable — provides strength and resistance to stretching or breakage under load
• Protective polymer outer housing — shields the inner cable from abrasion, moisture, and corrosion for long service life
• Includes hardware where applicable — may include cable ends, brackets, and grommets for a complete repair
• Direct replacement — no modification required for supported applications

Pioneer Automotive Industries has been a trusted supplier of powertrain components since 1946, offering a comprehensive range of cables, clutch components, transmission parts, and engine hardware to the automotive repair and remanufacturing markets.
