Forney 20053 8% Cobalt Drill Bit 9/32 Inch 135° Split Point

The Forney 20053 is a professional-grade 9/32 inch drill bit constructed from heat-resistant 8% cobalt high speed steel (HSS) with a distinctive gold finish. Designed for demanding drilling applications in the hardest materials, this bit delivers superior performance and extended tool life.

Key Features:

• 8% cobalt HSS construction for exceptional heat resistance and durability
• 135° Type P3 split point geometry starts cutting immediately without walking
• Penetrates faster with less pressure than conventional drill bits
• No center punch required—split point design ensures precise hole placement
• Gold finish coating for enhanced performance and wear resistance
• Meets National Aerospace Standard 907 Type J specifications

Applications:

Engineered specifically for drilling hard, tough materials including stainless steel, titanium, high-temperature alloys, and high-strength steels. Ideal for professional welding, fabrication, aerospace, and industrial maintenance applications where standard HSS bits fail.

The cobalt alloy construction maintains hardness at elevated temperatures, making this bit the preferred choice when drilling generates significant heat. The 135° split point eliminates the need for pilot holes and reduces drill bit walking on hard surfaces.
