Dayco 89557 Engine Timing Belt Idler Pulley

The Dayco 89557 is a replacement engine timing belt idler pulley designed to maintain proper tension and alignment of the timing belt within the engine's valve train system. Dayco is a globally recognized leader in power transmission and fluid management systems, with decades of engineering experience in timing drive components.

The timing belt idler pulley serves a critical role in guiding and tensioning the timing belt, ensuring precise synchronization between the crankshaft and camshaft(s). A worn or failed idler can cause belt misalignment, premature belt wear, or catastrophic engine damage — making timely replacement essential.

Key Features:

• Engineered to OEM specifications for precise fit and function
• Manufactured by Dayco, a trusted name in timing drive components
• Helps maintain correct timing belt tension and routing
• Designed for durability under high-heat, high-load engine conditions
• Direct replacement for OEM idler pulley — no modifications required

For best results, replace the timing belt idler pulley as part of a complete timing belt service, including the timing belt, tensioner, and water pump where applicable. Always follow manufacturer torque specifications during installation.
