Product Details

The Walker Products 211-1008 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECT Sensor) is a direct-fit OE replacement component engineered to accurately monitor coolant temperature and deliver real-time data to your vehicle's engine control module (ECM). This critical input allows the ECM to optimize fuel injection, ignition timing, cold-start enrichment, and cooling fan operation for peak engine performance.

How It Works:

The ECT sensor measures coolant temperature through a changing electrical resistance value and transmits that signal to the onboard computer. The ECM uses this data—along with other inputs—to calculate the correct fuel delivery and maintain proper engine operating conditions. Common symptoms of a failed coolant temperature sensor include hard starting, engine flooding, poor fuel economy, rough idle, and an illuminated check engine light.

Key Features:

  • Engineered to match OE specifications for resistance values, thermal response curves, and signal output
  • Direct-fit design installs into the original sensor port with no modifications required
  • Built from high-temperature, corrosion-resistant materials designed to withstand pressurized coolant, vibration, and extreme thermal cycling
  • 100% tested for fit, form, and function before leaving the facility
  • Manufactured in an ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 certified facility
  • Meets or exceeds all OEM specifications and test requirements

Walker Products has been a trusted supplier of automotive engine management components since 1946. Recommended sensor service interval is every 25,000–35,000 miles, which includes inspection, cleaning, or replacement of non-functional sensors.
