Walker Products Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor ECT Sensor

The Walker Products Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, also called an ECT sensor or coolant temp sensor, monitors engine coolant temperature and sends that information to the engine control module. The module uses the signal to adjust fuel delivery, ignition timing, idle speed, and cooling fan operation. It also uses it for other emissions and performance functions.

Key Features:

• Provides coolant temperature readings to the engine computer for accurate fuel and timing control
• Supports smooth cold starts, stable idle, and efficient engine operation
• Helps trigger cooling fan operation and temperature gauge or warning functions on applications that use the sensor signal
• Designed to replace a worn or failed original sensor
• Built by Walker Products, a long-established supplier of engine management and emissions components

A failing coolant temperature sensor can cause hard starting, poor fuel economy, rough idle, black smoke, overheating symptoms, or a check engine light. Replacing it restores accurate temperature feedback and helps the engine run as designed. Select the child item that matches your application to get the correct sensor.
