Pioneer Automotive CA-1924 Automatic Transmission Detent Cable

The Pioneer Automotive CA-1924 is a direct-fit replacement automatic transmission detent cable, also known as a kickdown cable or throttle valve (TV) cable. This cable connects the throttle mechanism to the automatic transmission, signaling the transmission to downshift when the accelerator is depressed, ensuring proper shift timing and transmission protection.

Key Features:

• OE-matching design — manufactured to original equipment specifications for a proper fit and restored operation
• High tensile-strength steel inner cable — delivers lasting durability under repeated throttle input cycling
• Protective polymer outer housing — shields the cable core from debris, moisture, and abrasion for consistent, smooth operation
• Complete hardware included — comes with necessary cable ends, brackets, and grommets where applicable for a straightforward repair
• Quality tested — each cable is verified to meet Pioneer's performance standards before leaving the factory

Over time, detent cables can bind, fray, or become sluggish, causing delayed or improper transmission shifts. Replacing a worn cable with the Pioneer CA-1924 restores correct shift behavior and helps protect the transmission from premature wear. Pioneer Automotive Industries has been manufacturing precision powertrain components since 1946.
