Pioneer Automotive CA-2031 Automatic Transmission Detent Cable

The Pioneer Automotive CA-2031 is a direct-fit replacement automatic transmission detent cable engineered to restore proper throttle-to-transmission communication. The detent cable links the throttle mechanism to the automatic transmission, signaling the transmission to downshift when the accelerator is fully depressed — a function critical to passing-gear response and overall drivability. Over time, these cables can stretch, bind, or break, resulting in poor shift quality or loss of kickdown response.

Key Features:

• OE-specification construction — manufactured to match original equipment dimensions and function for a proper, hassle-free fit
• High-tensile steel inner cable — provides strength and durability under repeated throttle actuation
• Polymer outer housing — shields the inner cable from corrosion, moisture, and abrasion for extended service life
• Includes hardware where applicable — common brackets, grommets, and end fittings included to simplify installation
• Drop-in replacement — designed to install like the original part with no modifications required

Pioneer Automotive Industries is a trusted supplier to the automotive repair and remanufacturing markets, offering an extensive line of control cables, transmission components, engine parts, and more. The CA-2031 detent cable is a reliable, cost-effective solution for restoring smooth automatic transmission kickdown performance.
