Product Details

The Gates K060851A Micro-V Aramid Serpentine Belt is an OE-grade replacement serpentine belt engineered specifically for demanding accessory drive applications. Featuring aramid tensile cord construction — the same high-strength fiber used in ballistic protection gear — this belt delivers exceptional resistance to shock loads, high torque, and extreme operating conditions that standard polyester-cord belts cannot reliably handle.

Key Features:

  • Aramid tensile cord construction — superior tensile strength and shock-load resistance compared to standard polyester serpentine belts
  • 6-rib Micro-V profile with exclusive truncated rib design for improved flexibility and reduced heat build-up
  • 85-9/16 inch (approx. 85.6 in.) outside length with 13/16 in. (21 mm) top width
  • Crack and heat-resistant EPDM rubber construction for long service life
  • Exact OEM aramid cord replacement — matches OE size, construction, and material specifications
  • Unique form-grinding process on each individual belt ensures precise dimensional control
  • Designed for use with small-diameter pulleys, backside idlers, and automatic or manual tensioners
  • Ideal for turbocharged, diesel, and high-RPM accessory belt drives
  • Meets or exceeds SAE J1459, SAE J2432, and SAE J1596 specifications

Gates recommends inspecting and replacing serpentine belts at 90,000 miles or as directed by the vehicle manufacturer. For vehicles that specifically require aramid cord construction, the K060851A ensures quiet, smooth operation and the same durability as the original equipment part.
