Pioneer Automotive CA-2038 Automatic Transmission Detent Cable

The Pioneer Automotive CA-2038 is a direct-fit replacement automatic transmission detent cable, also referred to as a kickdown cable. The detent cable serves a critical function by linking the throttle mechanism to the automatic transmission, signaling the transmission to downshift under heavy acceleration for optimal power delivery and shift response.

Over time, detent cables can bind, stretch, or become sluggish, resulting in delayed or improper downshifts. Replacing a worn cable with a precision-engineered unit like the CA-2038 restores correct transmission operation and protects against premature transmission wear.

Key Features:

• Manufactured to OE specifications for precise fit and proper function
• High-tensile-strength steel inner cable for durability and resistance to stretching
• Protective polymer outer housing shields the cable from debris, corrosion, and abrasion
• Designed for smooth, consistent throttle-to-transmission signal transfer
• May include applicable brackets, grommets, and end fittings where required

Pioneer Automotive Industries has been a trusted name in powertrain components since 1946, offering a broad catalog of engine and transmission parts engineered to meet or exceed original equipment standards. The CA-2038 detent cable delivers reliable, long-lasting performance as a quality OE replacement.
