Just wondering what the goop is called that goes on the connection for the ignition control unit? There is a flat plate that sits against another flat plate and there seems to be some connection goop on it. That goop failed in my old unit by becoming crusty and didn't allow the connection.

It works as advertised and what more can you expect. It is a charger for an old inherited John Deere mower that sat outside too long and is now being used to mow a substantial lawn.
