Fixed my problems!
I have a 1985 Monte Carlo with a 4.3L engine. I had problems with a weak battery, the charge idiot light would come on at idle, and the engine had a miss. I popped this alternator or, taking it from the base 60 amp alternator to 100 amps. Not only did the battery and charge issues go away, but it cleared up the misfire. I guess the engine wasn't getting enough juice!
