SUPCO SPP8E E-Series Electronic Hard Start Kit 1-5 HP 170-277V

The SUPCO SPP8E is an E-Series Electronic Potential Relay/Start Capacitor Combination Hard Start Kit designed for air conditioning and refrigeration compressor applications. This advanced hard start device combines electronic potential relay (EPR) technology with a 330 VAC start capacitor and backup electronic timing circuit to provide reliable compressor starting performance.

Key Features:

• Electronic potential relay (EPR) technology with 330 VAC start capacitor
• Backup electronic timing circuit protects the compressor from damage
• Compatible with PSC and CSIR type compressors rated 1-5 HP
• Voltage sensing design for reliable operation from 170-277 VAC
• Instant re-start capability after shutdown
• Simple 2-wire installation for quick setup
• 227 MFD capacitance (189-227 uF range)
• Reduces compressor in-rush current up to seven times
• UL Recognized (File E146162)
• NATE Recognized (Course #1867-0002)

This hard start kit extends compressor motor life by reducing electrical stress during startup and enables reliable operation even under difficult starting conditions such as low voltage or compressor wear. The integrated electronic timing circuit provides an additional layer of protection by ensuring the start capacitor is properly disconnected during normal operation.
