Product Details

The Cometic C5866-080 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered for Oldsmobile LD9 Quad 4 engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a .080" compressed thickness and accommodates a 3.595" cylinder bore diameter.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability under high-temperature, high-pressure conditions
  • .080" compressed thickness allows for custom compression ratio tuning
  • 3.595" bore diameter precisely matched for LD9 Quad 4 applications
  • Non-EGR design for engines without exhaust gas recirculation systems
  • Embossed stainless steel layers with elastomeric coatings ensure maximum combustion seal
  • Resistant to coolant corrosion and oil contamination

Cometic MLS head gaskets are the preferred choice for performance and racing applications where stock gaskets cannot withstand increased cylinder pressures. The multi-layer design allows the gasket to conform to imperfect sealing surfaces while maintaining exceptional blowout resistance.
