The MSD 31599 is an 8.5mm Race Tailored Super Conductor spark plug wire set engineered for Small Block Chevy engines using a socket-style distributor cap. These wires are custom cut to route behind the engine block and beneath the headers, delivering a clean, professional installation while keeping the wires safely away from exhaust heat and moving components.

At the heart of the Super Conductor design is a copper alloy spiral core wound with an extraordinary 40 feet of conductor packed into every single foot of finished wire. This results in an ultra-low resistance of less than 50 ohms per foot—yet delivers RFI suppression equivalent to a 1,500-ohm wire. The ferro-magnetic impregnated center core works in combination with the helical winding to create a highly effective EMI choke, keeping electromagnetic interference contained inside the wire where it cannot disrupt sensitive electronics, sensors, or onboard systems.

The conductor core is reinforced with DuPont Kevlar for exceptional tensile strength and long-term durability. The entire assembly is encased in a proprietary 8.5mm synthetic/silicone outer jacket over an extra-heavy glass braid and dielectric insulator, providing superior resistance to high heat and abrasion in demanding racing and performance environments. Each end is finished with 90-degree silicone boots and dual crimp terminals for a secure, low-resistance connection.
