Install Bay IBMS-5 Mercury Tilt Switch Clear Housing 12V

The Install Bay IBMS-5 is a mercury tilt switch designed for 12-volt automotive, marine, and powersports wiring applications. This type of switch operates by detecting changes in orientation — when tilted or disturbed, the internal mercury contacts close the circuit, triggering a connected accessory such as a dome light, underhood light, trunk light, or vehicle security system.

The IBMS-5 features a clear housing, making it easy to inspect the internal contacts and verify proper installation orientation. Its compact form factor allows for flexible mounting in tight spaces including door jambs, trunk lids, hoods, and storage compartments.

Key Features:

• Mercury tilt-activated switching mechanism
• Clear housing for easy visual inspection
• Compatible with 12V automotive, marine, and powersports electrical systems
• Ideal for triggering dome lights, courtesy lights, underhood lights, and alarm inputs
• Compact design for easy installation in confined spaces
• Simple two-wire connection for straightforward wiring integration
