The FAST 1000-1612 XDi Sportsman Distributor is a race-grade, billet ignition distributor engineered for Ford 351 Windsor engines. Built to deliver rock-solid timing accuracy from idle to redline, this distributor is an ideal upgrade for any race application where ignition precision is critical.

At the heart of the XDi Sportsman is an advanced Hall-effect style pickup that converts the trigger signal into a format accepted by most capacitive discharge (CD) ignition controls. Unlike traditional magnetic pickups — which require magnetic pickup compensation (also known as retard) — the Hall-effect design eliminates timing drift, ensuring your timing stays locked and consistent throughout the entire RPM range.

Internal construction is equally race-worthy. The CNC-machined billet aluminum housing contains a polished stainless steel shaft supported by a sealed ball bearing at the top and a long bushing at the bottom. FAST has also engineered minimal shaft end play into the design, reducing timing variation and protecting the distributor gear from premature wear.
