Product Details

The Stabilus 51-24-8-220-072 is a precision-engineered gas spring designed for hatch and lift support applications. This gas shock provides controlled, smooth opening and closing motion while holding the hatch in the open position, eliminating the need for manual support.

Key Features:

  • Manufactured by Stabilus, a leading OEM supplier of gas springs and dampers
  • Nitrogen gas-charged for consistent force throughout the stroke
  • Sealed design protects against moisture, dirt, and corrosion
  • Precision-machined components ensure reliable operation and long service life
  • Direct replacement for original equipment on compatible applications

Gas springs like this model are commonly used on engine hatches, storage compartments, and access panels in automotive, marine, RV, and industrial equipment. The controlled damping prevents slamming and reduces strain on hinges and mounting points.

easy site to use

First time with Autoplicity, ordering was simple and product arrived very quickly.

Everything worked out great. I emailed about a refund for the item but later changed my mind and ended up keeping it. But what struck me as a pleasant surprise was the fact that I received a prompt reply saying that my options were open on whether or not I wanted to keep the shipment. The customer service agent was very respectful and communicative. I will be coming back for future purchases.

No hassle service. I will be back.

Great

It was one of the few places I could find online that sold the Warn gaskets I was looking for. It was a great price, shipping costs were ok, but overall I had a good experience and I'll definitely come back.
