Product Details

The Genuine BMW 23-00-1-222-887 is an M8x50 grade 8.8 zinc-coated (ZNS3) ASA-bolt that secures the transmission bellhousing to the engine block. This precision-engineered fastener is designed to BMW's exacting OEM specifications, ensuring proper torque retention and reliability in this critical drivetrain connection point.

Key Specifications:

  • Thread Size: M8 x 50mm
  • Grade: 8.8 (high-strength carbon steel)
  • Finish: ZNS3 (zinc-nickel coating for corrosion resistance)
  • Application: Transmission bellhousing to engine block mounting

This bolt replaces superseded part number 23-00-1-220-459. It fits 154 BMW models across 1764 vehicle variants between 1978 and 2024, including manual and automatic transmissions across multiple chassis generations. Genuine BMW fasteners are manufactured to precise tolerances and heat-treated for optimal strength, ensuring long-lasting performance in demanding automotive applications.

When performing transmission or engine work, replacing hardware with fresh OEM bolts helps maintain proper clamping force and prevents potential issues from worn or stretched threads. Priced individually.
