The Gates 18674 is a Premium Molded Heater Hose engineered to OEM specifications for reliable coolant and heater system performance. Factory-molded to match original equipment geometry, it fits today's tighter engine compartments with precision and eliminates the need for cutting or reshaping during installation.

Constructed with an EPDM tube, synthetic fiber knit reinforcement, and EPDM cover, this hose is specifically engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD) — the leading cause of heater hose failure. It is unaffected by most coolants, non-oil-based coolant additives, and high cooling system pressures.

  • Meets SAE 20R3 Type EC Class D-1 and D-2 specifications

  • Reduces water loss from permeation through hose wall and cover

Note: Not for use in fuel or oil transfer applications. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new heater hose is installed for a secure, leak-free connection.
