Gates 2/9720PB Green Stripe PowerBand Heavy-Duty Joined V-Belt

The Gates 2/9720PB Green Stripe PowerBand is a heavy-duty joined V-belt designed for problematic, high-vibration applications that require belt sets. The PowerBand technology consists of multiple V-belts joined together by a permanent, high-strength tie band that function as a single unit for improved stability and even load distribution, with a secure strand fit into each pulley groove.

Key Features:

• Two-strand banded V-belt configuration eliminates belt turnover and belts jumping off the drive
• Unique tensile cord design gives belt extra strength, added flexibility and shock-load resistance
• Even load distribution between strands provides better shock-load absorption
• Meets or exceeds SAE J636 specifications
• Oil and heat resistant construction for extended belt life
• Permanent tie band ensures strands work as a single, stable unit

This PowerBand belt is ideal for heavy-duty industrial, commercial truck, and equipment applications where standard V-belts may experience turnover or slippage. The joined construction provides superior performance in high-vibration environments while maintaining consistent power transmission across all belt strands.
