Product Details

The Standard Motor Products APS279 is a swing-mount accelerator pedal position sensor assembly designed for modern drive-by-wire throttle systems. This complete assembly replaces the traditional throttle cable setup with an advanced electronic sensor that continuously monitors pedal position and transmits precise data to the engine control unit for optimal throttle response and fuel efficiency.

Key Features:

  • Dual output sensor design provides redundant signal verification for enhanced safety and reliability
  • Swing-mount configuration for direct OEM-style replacement installation
  • Complete pedal and sensor assembly—no separate components to purchase
  • Engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
  • Manufactured by Standard Motor Products, an established automotive aftermarket supplier since 1919

When the accelerator pedal position sensor fails, symptoms typically include poor throttle response, hesitation during acceleration, illuminated check engine light, or complete loss of throttle control. The APS279 assembly restores proper communication between the driver's pedal input and the electronic throttle control system, ensuring safe and responsive vehicle operation.

Went smoothly

Awesome

Cheapest price i could find! Great communication, and fast shipping!

the product reviews all seem to be reviewed of autoplicity's service instead of the item being viewed. either way, the shocks ordered were the right ones w/ all the parts w/ it. autoplicity's item descriptions could be a little more clear and/or explicit

So far so good quick easy order I only hope the shipping is as good as the website.

This is the first time I've ordered from Autoplicity. I found they had the best price on the item I was looking for and decided to try them. I ordered this item yesterday(Sunday) and was just informed that it shipped. That is quick. I am pleased with their customer service and will use them as my first source.

if this is the right part, I will be very pleased

Great price

ease of ordering with Amazon

If this item is real at this price, this is the best shopping experience of my life so far.

Good. Easy to find this site on Google for my truck part.
