SKF 99144 Speedi-Sleeve Shaft Repair Sleeve for 1.438" Shaft Diameter

The SKF 99144 Speedi-Sleeve is a precision-engineered shaft repair sleeve designed to restore worn or damaged shaft surfaces quickly and cost-effectively. This thin-walled stainless steel sleeve provides a smooth, wear-resistant sealing surface that eliminates the need for expensive shaft replacement or re-machining.

Key Features:

• Fits shaft diameters from 36.45mm to 36.6mm (1.435" to 1.441")
• Overall width: 12.7mm (0.500"), width on shaft: 9.53mm (0.375")
• Constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel with chromium plated finish
• Ultra-thin wall thickness of 0.28mm (0.011") for minimal dimensional change
• Flange diameter: 45.24mm with removable flange for installation flexibility
• Maximum operating temperature: 225°F
• Optimized surface finish (Ra 0.25 to 0.5µm) for superior seal performance
• Includes installation tool for quick, accurate positioning

How It Works:

The SKF Speedi-Sleeve is pressed over worn shaft surfaces to create a new sealing counterface for radial shaft seals. Microscopic lubricant pockets on the sleeve surface help prevent dry running and extend seal life. The removable installation flange simplifies positioning and can be left intact or removed depending on application requirements.

Applications:

Ideal for shaft repair in heavy industrial applications including axles, crankshafts, camshafts, electric motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment. Speedi-Sleeves eliminate costly downtime by allowing repairs without shaft disassembly or changing existing seal sizes.
