Gabriel 61712 ProGuard Shock Absorber for Light Trucks and SUVs - Front

The Gabriel 61712 ProGuard is a front shock absorber engineered for exceptional comfort and control in light trucks, vans, and SUVs. Designed to deliver better-than-OE response and performance, it features an oversized 41 mm (1 5/8") piston bore that provides increased oil capacity for superior heat dissipation, helping maintain consistent control across a wide range of road conditions.

Key Features:

• Oversized 41 mm piston bore — delivers better-than-OE response with increased tensile strength and durability
• Super-finished chromed piston rod — inhibits corrosion, ensures proper seal lubrication, and provides a consistent wear surface for longer service life
• Leak-proof piston seal — maintains hydraulic integrity to extend product life
• D.O.M. (Drawn-Over-Mandrel) tubing — reduces internal wear for greater longevity
• Increased oil capacity — improves heat dissipation to prevent shock fade under demanding conditions
• Compressed length: 14.26" | Extended length: 23.3"

Gabriel has been the pioneer of automotive shock absorber technology since 1907, inventing the original shock absorber and continuing to innovate for over a century. The ProGuard line is fine-tuned specifically for the tougher demands of today's trucks, vans, and SUVs, making the 61712 a reliable, durable OE-replacement solution.
