KatsHeaters 11463 Freeze Plug Heater 400W Engine Block Heater

The KatsHeaters 11463 is a 400-watt freeze plug style engine block heater designed to ensure reliable cold weather starting. This direct-fit heater replaces an existing freeze plug (also known as a core plug or expansion plug) in your engine block, heating the coolant from within to reduce engine wear and improve starting performance in frigid conditions.

Key Features:

• 400-watt heating element provides efficient engine block warming
• Installs directly into freeze plug opening for clean, integrated appearance
• Reduces cold-start engine wear by pre-warming coolant and oil
• Improves fuel economy and reduces emissions during warm-up
• Standard 120-volt AC operation with grounded plug
• Durable construction designed for long-term reliability

Freeze plug heaters are ideal for diesel and gasoline engines in extreme cold climates, ensuring your vehicle starts quickly while minimizing strain on the battery, starter, and engine components. Installation requires removal of an existing freeze plug and typically takes 1-2 hours with basic mechanical skills.
