Cometic C5477-036 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket GM Gen III/IV Bore - LS1/LS2/LS3/LS6 4.000

The Cometic C5477-036 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for GM LS Gen III and Gen IV small block V8 engines, including LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6 applications. This precision gasket features a 4.000-inch bore diameter and a compressed thickness of .036 inches, making it ideal for stock and mildly modified street engines.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
• 4.000-inch bore diameter designed for standard LS engine bore sizes
• .036-inch compressed thickness for proper compression ratio
• Compatible with LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6 Gen III/IV V8 engines
• Stopper layer and stainless steel construction resist blow-out and withstand extreme temperatures
• Embossed sealing beads provide excellent combustion sealing
• Accommodates minor surface imperfections for reliable sealing

Cometic MLS gaskets are manufactured using multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating, providing maximum sealing performance under demanding conditions. The advanced design allows the gasket to adapt to thermal expansion and contraction, maintaining a positive seal throughout the engine's operating range. Ideal for street performance, racing, and engine rebuilds where reliability is critical.
