NGK 21042 NTK OE Type Oxygen Sensor, 4-Wire Heated Narrow-Band O2 Sensor

The NGK 21042 oxygen sensor (also called an O2 sensor or lambda sensor) is a direct-fit, OE-type replacement sensor from NTK, NGK's sensor brand. It sends constant closed-loop feedback to the engine control unit (ECU). The ECU uses that feedback to manage the air-fuel ratio. It also alerts the OBDII system to possible fuel delivery or catalytic converter efficiency problems.

Key Features:

• Switching zirconia, narrow-band sensor design with a 0-1 V signal
• Heated sensor element
• 4-wire configuration with a square connector and 4 blade terminals
• Thread-in mounting with a 7/8" (22mm) hex size and metric threads
• Wiring harness length of about 48.75 in. (1238 mm)
• Ceramic sensor element with a contaminant-resistant plasma jet and deposit trap overcoat to guard against element poisoning
• Application-specific direct-fit design for straightforward installation
• Standard replacement grade

A working oxygen sensor helps maintain fuel efficiency, engine performance and low emissions. The 21042 is built to OE standards, so it is a dependable replacement when the original sensor ages or fails.
