Product Details

The COMP Cams SK08-414-8 Xtreme 4x4 camshaft kit is a complete small block Chevy hydraulic roller cam package designed for serious off-road and street/strip performance applications. This kit features an aggressive 230/234 duration profile optimized for engines using OE roller blocks and components.

Complete SK-Kit Includes:

  • Xtreme 4x4 hydraulic roller camshaft with 230/234 duration at .050"
  • Hydraulic roller lifters designed for OE roller blocks
  • Timing chain set for precise valve timing
  • Assembly lube for proper break-in
  • Installation instructions and COMP Cams decals

This camshaft delivers strong mid-range to top-end power with excellent throttle response, making it ideal for 4x4 trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs that need torque off-road and power on the street. The hydraulic roller design provides superior durability and performance compared to flat tappet cams while maintaining streetability. Compatible with stock or aftermarket cylinder heads and requires OE roller block with factory-style lifter bores.

Recommended Components: Works best with 1.5:1 or 1.6:1 rocker arms, performance valve springs (1.250"-1.300" diameter), and 2200-3000 RPM stall converter for automatic transmissions. Designed for engines with 9.0:1 to 10.5:1 compression ratio.
