The Trans Dapt Performance 9005 is a chrome-plated steel oil pan designed as a direct OE replacement for 1955-1978 Small Block Chevy engines with 283-400 cubic inch displacement. This ready-to-install, bolt-up oil pan maintains stock depth and capacity, making it compatible with most car and truck chassis without modification.

Construction and Finish:

  • Machined from quality steel to original specifications
  • Polished chrome-plated finish for superior appearance and corrosion resistance
  • Stock 4-quart capacity plus filter
  • Includes stock internal baffle for improved oil control

Compatibility Features:

  • Allows reuse of stock oil pump and pickup
  • Works with stock-type dipstick (driver side location)
  • Direct bolt-on installation with no modifications required

Important Fitment Notes:

  • Will not fit 1962-1967 Chevy II models
  • Not compatible with V8 Vega/Monza applications
  • Not compatible with 302 engines
  • Not suitable for Chevelle models with steering behind crossmember
