Product Details

The MAHLE 42146CP.040 is a premium engine piston ring set engineered to OEM specifications, designed for engine rebuilds requiring a +0.040" (1.016mm) overbore. MAHLE is a globally recognized OEM supplier trusted by major automotive manufacturers, ensuring this ring set meets or exceeds original factory tolerances for a reliable, long-lasting engine rebuild.

Piston rings are critical sealing components that control compression, regulate oil consumption, and transfer heat from the piston to the cylinder wall. Using a quality ring set like this MAHLE unit ensures proper combustion sealing and minimizes blow-by during and after engine break-in.

Key Features:

  • Oversize designation: +0.040" (1.016mm) for use with bored or worn cylinders
  • Manufactured to OEM-level precision for consistent ring gap and tension
  • Engineered for proper oil control, compression retention, and heat transfer
  • Includes all rings required per cylinder set (compression rings and oil control ring assembly)
  • Made by MAHLE, a Tier 1 OEM supplier to major global automakers
  • Designed for use during engine overhaul or rebuild applications

MAHLE piston ring sets are a professional-grade choice for engine builders and technicians who demand reliable performance and consistent fitment. Always verify cylinder bore size and ring gap before installation per engine manufacturer specifications.

I got a cargo box from autoplicity. As far as online purchases go to delivery, everything went perfectly. The only comment I have for Autoplicity would be to send out a confirmation email when the purchase is first made. The first communication wasn't until 3 days after I made the purchase.

Best parts at the best price, will continue to order from Autoplicity. Shipping is also very fast.
